Metahaven: Information Skies + Panel Discussion

A short film from Metahaven, a Dutch collective working across design, art, and filmmaking. Made in 2016 as the follow-up to their first full-length documentary The Sprawl (Propaganda about Propaganda), Information Skies has been nominated for the European Short Film Award in 2017. An expert panel on technology and information rights will follow the film.

Artist R. Luke Dubois (NYC) surveys the points where art overlaps with data. At this interactive workshop, he will give participants an overview of free tools and easy-to-learn techniques for making visualizations of publicly available data including the Ashley Madison data dump, Enron emails, and participants’ own information.
