Mark spent a decade behind bars (operating some of South Beach's hottest nightclubs and restaurants) and traveling the world. He lived and worked on a cattle ranch in Florissant, CO before moving to Boulder and earning his MFA in Writing & Poetics at Naropa. He built recently Boulder's first net-zero shipping container home (with his hands) and is currently building community at Ello - The Creators Network. Mark has invested in people, businesses, tech, ideas and living a passionate life. An entrepreneur from way before it was called that. He hustled whatever - Miami-style - for a little extra money to buy a bomb pop and a screwball at the ice cream truck.

He has three amazing teenage children and two dogs, and is (perpetually) engaged to the most beautiful woman in the known universe - who he met online.
