Tran Wills
Base Coat
Serial Entrepreneur and Founder
Tran is the personification of the term “self-made.” Shortly after graduating from high school, she pursued the path of entrepreneurship by opening The Fabric Lab, a clothing boutique doubling as an art gallery and event space in Denver, which started her venture and would turn out to be the first of many. Building on the success of her boutique, Tran recognized a need for a non-alcoholic late night hang out in the community and opened The Shoppe, a vibrant cupcake and cereal bar open until 2 a.m. on the weekends and serves as a reprieve for those in Denver looking for an alternative to bar hopping.
Later and years of researching non-toxic products, she realized the need for a healthy salon environment that everyone could benefit from, especially pregnant and nursing moms and those with allergies. In 2013, Base Coat was founded in Denver as the first non-toxic nail spa in the city and was also one of just a few in the United States to be truly non-toxic.
In addition to Base Coat, Tran is also co-owner of Svper Ordinary, a hybrid retail store and art gallery located in the RiNo Art District of Denver.
